Editorial #4 – Battle of Britain – Hitler Tastes Defeat! - October_1940

It is this editor's delight to announce that the Nazi War Machine has looked elsewhere after being utterly humiliated by the great nation of Great Britain.

The Luftwaffe gave its best effort to demoralize the citizens of England - the RAF and Winston Churchill beat them back.  The Germans gave it their all only to find themselves tucking their tails in retreat for the first time in four years.

Hitler considered Great Britain to be just another stepping stone in his conquest...and now he is the one demoralized and humbled.

Great Britain has shown the world once and for all that the determinism of a people is far greater than notions of dominance and greed.   The power of a people surpasses machine.  The pilots of the RAF – often outnumbered by greater than 10 to 1, and the men, women, and children who lived under the roar of air sirens for months are a bright beacon to the democratic world that hope does exist.   They have shown the world the sheer determinism and hope of the human spirit.  They have shown survivalism.  They have stood up to unparalleled odds while the rest of the world watched.  They have looked a Nazi nation saturated in greed and hatred for all others and have stared death in the eyes.  When the Nazi nation reached its deathly claw for England – the English Citizen rose up to say:

NO!  -  I WILL NOT DIE TODAY!!!!!
