Editorial #3 - Will the Maginot Line Hold? October 1939

Western Europe is in complete panic and open frenzy.  Hitler's Blitzkrieg seems totally unstoppable.  The allies are currently holding at the Maginot Line on the French Border.  They are led by French Prime Minister Charles De Gaulle, a known patriot and a man who has been a master military genius since he was in the womb.  The allies wait for Germany in an armored tomb - the Maginot Line.  This string of very intimidating bunkers could be the breaking point for Hitler's "Blitzkrieg".   Even for Hitler's Tiger Tanks, the Maginot Line could be too much for Blitzkrieg.  These bunkers were constructed to defend any German invasion.  And they are truly terrifying and rugged.  They span along the French/German border as a defense against any future invasion such as that failed invasion staged by Von Schlieffen in the Great War.

The Daily Mirror's opinion is this - The German Blitzkrieg may meet its match when it encounters the armored teeth of the Maginot Line

The Maginot Line could even be too much for Adolf's famed Stuka Bombers:
