D-Day

 On  June 6, 1944

I took 160,000 of my Allied troops. We landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortiried French coastline to fight Nazi Germans on the beaches of Normandy, France. As General i call this operation a crusade in which i say that we will accept nothing less than victory. By this days end we gained a foot-hold in Normandy. This day cost me a lot of my men. About 9,000 killed or wounded, but successfully 100,000 of my still standing soldiers began to march across Europe on our way to defeat Hitler!

                 Still to return,

  Dwight D. Eisenhower
